How to better maintain the fragile inkjet print head?

The frequent "head blocking" phenomenon of inkjet print heads has caused considerable trouble to many printer users. Once the "head blocking" problem is not handled in time, it will not only hinder production efficiency, but also cause permanent blockage of the nozzle, which will threaten the overall performance of the inkjet printer and may even cause it to be damaged or scrapped.

The importance of nozzle maintenance

The correct maintenance method and good maintenance habits can effectively avoid or reduce the abnormal frequency of the nozzle and ensure the normal service life of the nozzle.

Good nozzle maintenance can not only ensure the production and printing quality, but also save unnecessary expenses. After all, ordinary nozzles cost thousands of yuan, and high-quality nozzles cost tens of thousands of yuan.

Three situations in which nozzles are prone to failure

1. Lack of ink
When there is a lack of ink inside the nozzle, the piezoelectric ceramics in the nozzle work, but because there is no ink, it cannot effectively output ink. In this case, the nozzle can generally be cleaned by pressing ink.

2. Air blockage
When the printhead has been idle for a certain period, promptly moisturize it. Before moisturizing, clean the ink stack and pad but do not reuse the pad to avoid contamination of the nozzle surface and prevent impurities from being drawn back into the printhead. After moisturizing, ensure the nozzle remains in contact with the pad to prevent air exposure.

3. Drying or impurities
If the nozzle is not used for a long time and no effective moisturizing measures are taken, it is very easy to cause the ink inside the nozzle to dry. The impurities entering the nozzle and clogging the nozzle are similar to the ink drying and clogging the nozzle. Solid matter remains inside the nozzle, causing the ink to not pass through the nozzle normally.

How to maintain the nozzle?

1. Pay attention to ink path maintenance.
After long-term use, the ink tube and ink sac will accumulate a large amount of impurities in the ink. Some inferior ink tubes will also react with the ink, so that the components in the ink tube are dissolved into the ink and transported to the inside of the nozzle.
So don't buy inferior ink tubes or ink sacs for use on the machine at will. Usually, you need to change the filter and ink sac frequently and replace the aging ink tubes within a certain period.

2. Do a good job of moisturizing

3. Do a good job of cleaning the printhead
Perform the printer's built-in cleaning function. Go to the printer's control panel, find the "Maintenance" or "Service" menu, and then select "Clean Printhead". Follow the instructions on the screen and the printer will automatically perform the cleaning process. If the printer's cleaning function is not enough to solve the problem, consider manual cleaning.

Manually clean the nozzle. Here's how:

1. Remove the cartridge: Remove the cartridge from the printer. Be careful not to touch the surface of the nozzle to avoid contamination or damage.

2. Prepare a cleaning solution: Pour distilled water into a plastic container, or use a special cleaning solution provided by the manufacturer.

3. Soak the nozzle: Gently dip the nozzle into the cleaning solution and let it sit for a few minutes. If it is a fixed nozzle, you can partially dip the nozzle into the cleaning solution.

4. Gentle wipe: Gently wipe the surface of the nozzle with a clean lint-free cloth to remove any residual ink or blockage. Remember not to exert too much force, so as not to damage the nozzle.

5. Drying nozzle: Put the nozzle in a well-ventilated place to dry naturally, or use a lint-free cloth to gently dry

Of course, in addition to the daily nozzle maintenance method, the usual working environment of the inkjet machine is also crucial to the nozzle.

If conditions permit, the workshop environment needs to be ensured:
Temperature 22±2℃
Moderate 50%±20
Dust-free or clean workshop environment
Staff wear clean work clothes to work

Pay attention to electrostatic protection when operating the machine and handling products.

Finally, be sure to use high-quality ink produced by regular manufacturers. AoBoZi ink uses high-quality imported raw materials, fine ink, does not block the nozzle, and the printed product is bright and full in color, which can maintain a stable printing effect.
